Long Live Empress Jamyl!
« on: October 03, 2009, 05:42:25 PM »

One year ago Jamyl Sarum was crowned Empress.  As a sign of respect and now acceptance CVA took a fleet to Amarr to meet with other loyalists such as PIE and 1PG.
After dealing with a few terrorist war targets I delivered a speech to the local citizens.

Quote
Hail citizens of the Empire.

I am Admiral Grr of Epitoth Guard and am here to represent the Curatores Veritatis Alliance by leading this small fleet here to the heart of the Empire and to say a few words marking this special day.

Today is of course Empress Jamyls Paper Jubilee, a day marking 1 year since Jamyl Sarum ascended to the throne, stepping up to lead our mighty Empire.

Many of you will remember one year ago this event that put our Empire on back onto the right path but for those who do not, please take a look at this video feed:

Empress Jamyls awe inspiring words still send shivers down my spine.

From the day this speech was made CVA has served Jamyl with dedication and commitment and I do not believe there is one among us who was not moved by this speech.

I now invite a few pilots in the Amarr community to say a few words of their own to mark this day.

Admiral Rodj Blake of PIE then said a few words on behalf of PIE.

Quote
*Admiral Blake clears his throat

A family is incomplete without parents.   And similarly, an empire is incomplete without an emperor.

But on this day last year, the interregnum ended and the Empire could at last rest easy with the knowledge that the Imperial throne is occupied.

And just as a loving parent will seek to act in the best interests of their children, so too does an emperor act in the best interests of the people.

For it is the people and emperor together who make an empire - one cannot function for long without the other.

But despite this there are some who call themselves Amarrian who still query our Empress' right to the throne.

To them I say that one cannot support the Empire without also supporting its rightful leader.

We in PIE are proud to have supported the Empire for many years.   It has always been our policy to support the current Emperor no matter what house they may have belonged to.   For the Emperor is of no house and all houses.

Just as we supported Heideran VII and Doriam II, and may they both receive their rightful glory in heaven, so shall we support Jamyl I.

Just as we fought for her predecessors, so we have fought for Jamyl I.  We will continue to do so in the future, and beyond that, we shall also fight for her successors.
We don't fight for personal glory.  We don't fight for personal enrichment.   We don't fight to slake a primitive bloodlust.

No, we fight to protect our children.  We fight because it is our God-given duty to do so.   We fight because there are those who seek to destroy our way of life.

To them, I say this:
Conflict with the Empire has never been inevitable.  We Amarrians are at heart a peaceful people.

We don't seek war - we seek only to tell the truth to those who have not heard it.

Take for example our alliance with the Caldari State.  Would a people who seek only death and destruction enter into such an alliance?  Of course not!

Look at the Empress' edict to release a large number of slaves.   Is that the action of someone who wants to enslave merely in order to keep slaves?   Of course not!
Again, I say that we don't seek war.   But when war is forced upon us, we will prosecute it with a determination you can only dream of possessing.

You cannot win.  You will not win.   For God is on our side.

One by one, your bases will fall.   One by one, your systems will be captured.   Our march may at times seem to be slow, and there will be times when our stride momentarily falters, but rest assured that we will be relentless in our task.

And when we arrive at your door, you will have only yourselves to blame.   You may not find that what happens to you atfer that to be very pleasant, but it will be neccessary.

For that is the moment when you will be Reclaimed, and there will be only one sound to be heard:

Amarr Victor

Local roared with a healthy Amarr Victor from all loyalists and I continued with my words.

Quote
Thank you for those words.

While all true Amarr now worship Jamyl with their hearts, minds and very souls this was of course  not always the case.

This very alliance, CVA is not beyond admitting its failings and some will remember that we did not attend Jamyls coronation as silent protest for the disregard to tradition that happened during her coronation.

Our feelings at the time we best conveyed with the preacher Khan Rodaks words:

When facing two evils, a decision must be called. The commons choose the lesser one; the uncommon tries to justify the commons choice; those extraordinary fight both. We lack the last, and that has been our fault and our major sin.

We wont say any further, as our points were clear even before we came here tonight. I should only add that we wont be inconsequent about our choice and that we wont drag others with our words. One is free to follow us as they wish. Time will tell.

Time indeed has told.

Empress Jamyls relatively short time in power so far has seen a great number of things achieved.

The steps towards reunifaction with the Khanid Kingdom, the securing of the Ammatar Mandate and the amazing leadership Jamyl has given this Empire these are truly great times to be living in.

While tradition is important it is now clear that there are times when the greater good of the Empire superceeds all and this is the lesson we have perhaps learned from Jamyls coronation and the bending of succession traditions.

After all, the Empress is there as the voice of god to help direct the Amarr people along the right path.  We are gods chosen.

It stands to reason that gods will, the success of the Empire are more important than any tradition when it comes down to it.

I therefore send my regrets  to our Empress for any doubts this alliance had before her ascension to the throne.  A given I hope to all that upon coronation we have served Jamyl with the dedication and commitment that we would any other Emperor.

Our best efforts in the last year have gone towards developing the Providence region on behalf of the Empire as well as helping the Adishapur house secure the Ammatar Mandate.

We do this not for personal gain but for our beloved Empire and for its Empress.

We will do this for all time.

For Jamyl,

For the Empire,

For God.

Long live Empress Jamyl.

*Local channel fills with a long live Empress Jamyl salute from all loyalists*

Thank you all for listening.

Long live Empress Jamyl.
